Eddy Peach served as head coach and athletic director for Lamar High School from its opening in 1970 until his retirement following the 2009 season. From the Vikings' first full varsity season in 1971 through the end of his final campaign, he finished his careee with a 311-123-6 record.
A native of Oklahoma, he attended University of Oklahoma on a combination football/baseball scholarship.
Coach Peach’s wife, Debbie, is a teacher and head of the English Department at Lamar. He has two sons, Scott and Shawn. Scott is the head football coach at Arlington High School and Shawn is a varsity coach at Sam Houston.
